PELLINNO have experienced, competent and qualified designers in-house to deliver Electrical, Control and Instrumentation design for suitability for use within classified hazardous areas ensuring clients meet DSEAR 2002 requirements and compliance with BS EN 60079, subsequently meeting the requirements for Company Directors to fulfil their mandatory duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
PELLINNO design engineers are degree qualified with records of UK competency for designing in Hazardous Areas (COMPEX-Ex12 Hazardous Area – Application Design Engineer).

Skilled PELLINNO designers select the correct hazardous area certified equipment with applicable protection concepts required for the conditions and atmospheres presented re: Exd (Explosion Proof), Exe (Increased Safety), Exi (Intrinsically Safe), Exp (Pressurised / Purged) etc.
It is mandatory requirement that compliant designs are presented and form part of your company’s DSEAR Technical File, eg. “Descriptive System Document” is required where Intrinsically Safe Circuits are to be employed, DSEAR Equipment registers, and associated Inspection Schedules are also required along with the library of applicable hazardous area equipment hazardous area certificates. PELLINNO support the development and use of Site-Specific Explosion Protection Document Packs to manage the DSEAR Technical File requirements and guide our clients to meet these requirements.
